He leaves instructions at the site on how the device works, for future explorers willing to travel to 2000 years in the past and assume the role of Theseus, the slayer of the Minotaur. ![]() Searching the labyrinth, he stumbles upon a time machine, dubbing it the "Loony Machine". Intrigued, he travels to Crete and starts to explore the newly discovered Knossos ruins. The galopetra ("milk stone") has a hieroglyphic and a maze carved on one side, and a Minotaur on the reverse. In 1893, an English archaeologist called Sir Evangel finds a strange stone in a London antiquary.
